As the author of the popular book
Single Past 50...Now What?, Tammy offers her unique perspective on how to survive and live happily single at 50 years young…and beyond. Humor, boldness and surprising facts comprise this intellectual, yet amazingly personal, survival guide for the mature woman.

Humble beginnings
Tammy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. An only child to a single mother, her lifestyle was humble, to say the least. Living on the “wrong side of the tracks,” she quickly learned that you either spoke up for yourself, or you were overlooked. Attending schools out of her district meant being surrounded by those more affluent, more secure, and always families with two parents. Not much was ever expected of her, and yet she wanted so much to do or accomplish something. She found herself at age 18 with no funds to complete college, working fifty-hour weeks, and in love with her high school sweetheart, whom she married at 23.

Happy Endings
Ten years into her marriage her daughter, Amanda, was born. Tammy discovered entrepreneurial abilities in herself, as she started several business enterprises that proved both successful and satisfying. She remained married for 25 years, and has been single for five. Tammy moved to Colorado in 1994, and now lives in Denver. She spends her time speaking publicly on the virtues of being a single woman in mid-life, conducting seminars and workshops, and, of course, writing. Her second book is nearing completion, and if it is anything like her first, it will not disappoint. Tammy is 54 years young, and lives with her dog Maddy, and her cat Henry.
